In Loving Memory of Jackson Dewayne Frost Who went to be with the Lord on January 1st, 2008.Looking back on the memory of The dance we shared beneath the stars above For a moment all the world was right How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance Holding you I held everything For a moment wasn't I the king But if I'd only known how the king would fall Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all And now I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would go Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance Yes my life is better left to chance I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance. The arena is packed to over maximum capacity, the parents and sibling of Jackson are to accept a ring and a beltbuckle from the Rodeo chairman in memory of him, and the PBR is to recognize him also for a good bullrider in the Rodeo class. But the competitors are also set to do their events in the rodeo, all in memory of Jackson Dewayne Frost.

Pat was wearing his brown cowboy boots, and his tight wrangler rodeo bootcut bluejeans, and his black belt with his large silver, gold outlined beltbuckle with a large golden P in the middle of it and a bullrider in the behind of it engraved. He also wore a longsleeve plaid green and white flannel shirt, it was a wrangler shirt though, and had pearl buttons. He also had a big large plastic sheet which said Number 23 on it. His head wore a black cowboy hat, simple.. He had a can of dip in his pocket, a pack of camel full flavored and a lighter in his side pocket, and his keys, and his cellphone and a pocket knife were also in his junked up pockets.. This was going to be fun, he was doing it in memory of his best friend.. and for the 10,000 cash money purse for the viewers choice awards.

Melody walked into the expo center and catching her eye was Patrick. She walked up to him in her faded blue jeans and her navy blue cowboy boots. Her top was black so that she would stay warm even if it was a little windy out and it was a long sleeved thermal. She was glad this was happening, Jackson really deserved something like this and it was going to help change a lot of things for the people who he left behind. "Hey" She smiled at him a bit.

Pat smiled as he looked up on the screen watching the slideshow of pictures of Jackson starting rodeo when he was young, and then up to a rodeo the day before he shot himself.. He rubbed his arm as he took a Camel Full flavored from his pack in his pocket, put it in his lips as he took out a match striking it on the small book as he put the flame up to the cigarette, watching it catch as he waved the match in the air putting it out as he chucked it into a barrel. He took a drag off of the cancer-stick as he turned to Mel as she walked to him.. He smiled at her, his spurs and chaps were on him also, his chaps were black and leather, and his spurs, all spiny and silver in their fullest were showing.. He looked at her "Hey Mel.." He said with a smile as he put an arm around her, looking around the arena.. "Jack would'a liked this.."

She flinched a little when he put his arm around her then relaxed more. "Yea, he would have." She watched as more people began to show up and crowd into the center.

Pat smiled down at her as he planted a small kiss on her forehead as he walked back to the area where all the horses and bulls were, he approached his horse, Tecumsah.. He slowly began to stroke his mane, he was a jet black stallion.. He smiled at him as he saw his boots clash in the mud.. Oh well, that was apart of rodeoing.. He turned his head to look at Mel, hoping she would have followed him..

Sadie had just gotten to Jackson's memorial rodeo. Some how she had let Maddie convince her to barrel race and do team roping with her. Sadie agreed as she knew it would Make Maddie happy, but for some reason she was more nervous for this than she had been at the Hampton Classic show. Sadie found Melody and went to over to her. "hey darling how are you doing today?" and then hugged her

Melody followed him over to his horse and patted the horse on the back. His coat was black and she liked the color of him. She leaned up against Patrick's shoulder and smiled, this was going to be an interesting day.

Patrick turned and gave a quick nod of his head to Sadie as he put an arm around Mel, looking down at her and kissing her on the forehead as he moved a strand of her hair out of her eyes as his eyes traveled back to his horse.. He smiled as he slowly stroked Tecumsah under the neck with his free hand. He was really feeling good, he had a damn girlfriend who he absolutely adored, and he was probably going to win 10,000 bucks.. Life couldnt get much better.. He smiled and looked at Mel.. "I absolutely adore you, you know that?"

Sadie rasied a brow as Pat kissed Mel's forehead. "Anyways Mel, Im riding today and I have no bloody idea what to wear, can you come help me?" Sadie already knew exactly what to wear, Maddie had lent her clothes and boots but she really wanted to ask Mel about this whole Patrick situation

Melody walked over to Sadie and ducked out of Patrick's arm length. "I'm fine, and yea I'll help you find clothes." She knew perfectly well that Sadie didn't need help finding any clothes because she had a bag in her hand but she obviously wanted to talk to her about something so she went with it.

She had come to this... thing because Patrick had asked her to and she had accepted, however, she knew she wouldn't fit in. She didn't play the part of cowgirl and had no desire to, but Patrick had asked her to come and she couldn't say no to him, to anything. Her startling blue eyes looked around for him, avoiding the horses at all costs. She had never ridden a horse, nor did she really have to desire to, in fact she was afraid of them. But she was here. She pulled her jacket tighter around her and walked around looking around, taking in the scenery

Patrick raised an eyebrow knowing damn well that she had clothes to wear. He rolled his eyes as he finished his cigarette and chucked it in the garbage barrel.. He climbed up ontop of his horse, which already had a saddle on it.. He slowly took off on the horse heading out the door as he turned to look behind him, smiling at Mel and blowing her a kiss. He then turned, seeing Karissa as she entered in the packed house, he flashed her a quick smile and waved to his friend. He then headed out the doors of the Expo center and dug his spurs into Tecumsah's side.. the horse let off a screech as it ran as fast as it could, passing by the truck and trailers and horses that packed the outside.. He hopped over a log and then made it to the racetrack.. He yelled "Go Tecumsah, Go!" He said, preparing the horse for the team roping tonight.. and the single roping.. He closed his eyes as he hunkered down a bit.. the horse riding fast, his shoes clopping and dirt flying as they hit the flat dirt track.

Her blue eyes looked around, walking around the people, wishing she would have brought a friend or someone, but it was too late now. She spotted her friend on his horse and flashed him a smile before finding a seat. It was the energy around the packed place that really brought everything out. She hadn't known Jackson Frost, only known of his death and funeral, since it was before she moved here, but it was town knowledge what had happened, and she wasn't exempt from that [/color]

Sadie took Melodys arm and led her to Maddie and Hunter's horse trailer. she opened up the tackroom door and sat on the step. She looked up at Melody somewhat confused. "Mel you know your like my little sister I would do anything for you" Sadie took out a cigarette and lit it taking a drag. "What I dont understand though is why you would give your heart up so easily, expecially for Patrick." Sadie shook her head. She wasnt trying to be hard on Mel, but Sadie would kill the first guy to break Melodys heart
