Melody looked at the scrapbook as Sadie handed it to her. "Thanks" She smiled and gave Sadie a hug, she knew that Sadie always had the best intentions she just didn't know if she would be able to keep it all in. "Wait, if my mom helped you with it does that mean my mom knows about me and Patrick?" She asked this a little panicky, that would be really bad she thought to herself.

Patrick's eyes closed as the time controlled gate flung open and the calf ran out of its slot.. Then, About 3 seconds later, Patrick's slot opened, and he took off, chasing after the little cow.. He held onto the horse with one hand, and took the rope off, swinging the lasso around in the air, timing it just right, he chucked the lasso, taking it around the back two legs of the calf. He then jumped off of Tecumsah as the horse had the other end of the rope attached to its saddle.. He took another rope and hogtied the legs of the calf.. He then stood up quickly, holding his arms in the air and closing his eyes, praying he made a good time, and praying that the calf wouldnt get loose. He had been practicing at this for a long ass time, this and bullriding were his events. 6 seconds passed, and the calf had not escaped, Pat had won his time, as the crowd jumped to a standing ovation.

Melody turned from Sadie to see Pat in the middle of the ring, it was his turn. He was better than she had thought, not that she had thought he was bad but she had never seen him do anything before now really so she couldn't have said if he good or if he sucked. She just smiled to herself, he had won. He made it look really easy too.

Sadie watched as Pat did his round. "dont worry Mel, I didnt say anything to your mum, but I advise you to not act like lovey dovy little brats in that house" Sadie was starting to get nervous she knew her events werent till later but she couldnt help but freak out. "Oh lord Im going to die. Why couldnt I just stick to bloody eventing I had to do this"

Patrick smiled as he removed the ropes from the young calve's feet. He then climbed on his horse and retied his ropes as he chased the calfe back into its chute, he then headed back into the area with the trailers.. Riding Tecumsah up to the watering bucket beside his trailer he let him get a drink after climbing off of him, he figured he would let the two of them talk as he glanced over at Sadie and Mel.. He sighed, not knowing what kind of shit she was saying about him to Mel.. He led Tecumsah up to the trailer after he let him get a good drink.. He slowly shut the door for him, and then leaned up against the trailer..

Melody turned back to Sadie after Pat's events were over. "Don't worry you'll be fine." She smiled in an attempt to make Sadie less nervous and held the scrapbook under her arm while she still stood there listening to the surrounding noises. It was pretty noisy, but then again there were at the least 150 people there.

Maddie was alittle late, but that was ok. She was standing outside her trailer beside a small bay mare who was just chillin there. She took a deep breath, walking over to the two geldings that stood on the other side. The mare was for barrels, but the geldings were for her and Sadie to play on. She smiled, and finished tacking her's up. She glanced around looking for Sadie, biting her lip.
Her hair was down, and she wore a tight pair of faded jeans, a hot pink button up shirt, and her usual brown ostrich skin boots. She slipped her jacket on, stretching as she grabbed the bridles. Sadie hadn't ever rode the gelding Maddie put her on, but she knew he'd take good care of her as long as she didn't interfere with his work.
She looked over to the arena opening, all the people were there for Jackson, and that just made her sad. She missed him being around, and things definatly weren't the same... but she was moving on slowly. She looked over to her gelding, stroking his neck.

Sadie walked over to the horse trailer and found Maddie,"where were you, Im freaking out here." Sadie took the gelding from her and scratched his muzzle. Sadie was nervous but she would be fine "Wheres Hunter I really wanna see him before I ride." She said and looked around for him

Maddie just giggled "aww, calm down" she said and shrugged as she wiped away the sad look from her face. She looked around for Hunter, then shrugged. Then he came walking up, a cigarette in his mouth. He looked from Maddie to Sadie, giving Maddie a hug then walking to Sadie. He threw the cigarette out, giving her a kiss and smiling "ooh, cowgirl up" he said playfully. Maddie laughed as she got her horse's bridle, then handed Sadie's to her. She slipped it on, climing aboard. Her gelding's name was Sam, and he was Palomino. Sadie's gelding was a dark chestnut color and his name was(uhm, w.e you want to call him. lol).

Sadie kissed him back then smiled. "didnt your mum ever tell you that smokings bad for you cowboy?" She teased. Sadie smoked as well so she really couldnt have a say in it. Sadie put Bandits bridle on then got on. She ran her fingers across his mane then looked to Maddie. "so what in bloody hell am I supposed to do?"

Hunter just chuckled and nodded "yeah, but ohwell" he cooed. He just shook his head "you girls have fun, I'll be watching or doing something..." he said as he walked off. Maddie giggled "just let him do his work, he knows what to do, and if you get in a bad situation he'll bring you out" she explained "he's been doing this awhile, but make sure you stay on, he's a bit jerky and sometimes you'll have to steer him" she added. Sam was pretty automatic also, but only when Maddie asked for it.

Sadie nodded. "okay I will try to trust him." She shook her head. "I swear to god If he doesnt watch im gonna kill him." Sadie streched herself out then looked at Maddie again. "So what event are you doing anyways" Maddie was the brains of this operation she was in charge and Sadie would do what she told her to do

Maddie just shrugged "not sure, we'll probably do team roping" she explained "theres not really much left" she said and smirked playfully. She then thought about team penning, and missed it. She wished they had it at rodeos. "He's a heeler, can you throw a rope?" she asked, laughing slightly. Maddie cought throw a rope and get anything, but Sadie would be the problem.

Sadie smiled. "Im sure I can manage. I barrel raced a while back so I can probably do that as well." Sadie took a deep breath. "ummm well yeah, Jackson taught me accually" Sadie wasnt completly in the dark but she hadnt done it in over a year. "I think we will be fine" She said and gaev her a reassuring smile
