It looks like a country that has isolated itself using a black brick wall, a wall so large that it denies even the most curious set of eyes, and the looming trees of Sherwood Forest, which sway with the wind in the background. The ID required gate is the only publicly known entrance and the only way one can get a view of what’s lays beyond the wall. The front is wide and spacious; with the wind creating ripples in the grass and running it's fingers through the shade trees' branches and leaves. One may catch a glimpse at the several types of fields available, but there's something else here that catches one's eye.
Blackburn Academy, a semi-boarding high school located in Salem. The semi-boarding part being optional and usually, preferred, and the high school education mandatory and at most times, ignored. And as far as rumor goes, the founder was filthy rich, which explains the measures they went to for providing a secure environment, refurbished dorms and still keep the school public and cost free minus monthly dorm rent and lunch costs. Although the expensive taste of the school is usually a plus, it's the people here that make this place worth while, and for some, a living hell.
The clique monarchy has been set; its presence is known the moment one steps across the threshold. The Queen Bee, Prince Charming, Royalty, Preps, Jocks, Tag Alongs, Gangsters, Broadway Actors, Picasso Profits, Band Geeks, Nerds, Foreigners, Skaters, Rebels, Bullies, Gothics, Punks, Ravers, Scene Kids, Indie, Druggies, Emo, Hippies, Homosexuals and others line the hallways. Rivalries spark amongst the clans, sometimes resulting in violence. Some may choose to intermingle with the people outside of their circle, making a sort of peace treaty as the Outcasts watch from the sidelines, some desperate to find that place to fit in. But who are these people really?
These are the students of Blackburn Academy, the future of America, the ones who will either help the community or terrorize it. The one's who will create countless memories and will experience many and unbelievable things. Love, happiness, true friends, beer, betrayal, lies, loss, and pain, and then some, can all be sealed within these years, as they all struggle to survive this one time only adventure.
Let the ink bleed on the page, only words and expression will form this story. What will your adventure be like, will light shine on your path or will you stay concealed in the darkness? Where will you find your place in the clique monarchy? Who or what will stand in your way in completing this adventure? Can you when the struggle to survive?
