Marinna paced in the kitchen of the funeral home as she waited for ther people to arrive and pay their last respects to Jackson. There wasn't exactly a viewing, due do the conditon of his body after the blow from the gun. Still, you could enter the parlor and drop off notes and flowers, taking one last look at a picture of him. Marinna seemed to be taking it harder than a lot of other people.
She was the first to find him and by the time anyone else had come back home, the ambulance had already driven off with him. Leaving Marinna there in tears. She sat on the bed crying for the longest time, not sure what else to do.
Dressed in the little black dress she wore to the new years eve party, Marinna was sitting on a stool. She looked distraught and her eyes were puffy from crying. Her cell phone sat on the counter next to a bottle of water. She wa hoping someone, anyone woud show up. Well, anyone besides Jackson's family, who were all located in the other room with the coffin.

Melody walked out to the room where Marinna had been standing and waiting for people to arrive. Her eyes too were puffy and red from crying, thats all she had been doing since she had came home and found Jackson dead that afternoon. She hadn't had this emotion for anyone before and she knew that Marinna was probably taking it pretty hard too. What would ever tell her kid, yea your dad committed suicide when he knew he was going to have you? That would be bound to make the kid feel better.
Melody was wearing the nicest black pants she owned with a black blouse and her navy boots on. She walked up to Marinna stopping and looking at her for a minute. "How you doin' hon?" She was a bit worried about Marinna surprisingly enough, she didn't want her to cry anymore then she herself had. It was a big loss so maybe crying was for the better but no one really knew. She turned looking at the picture of her brother and tearing up a little more as she did so.

Marinna looked up from her focus on the counter of the kitchen as she heard Melody come in. She tried to quickly wipe away the few tears that were on her cheek. "I'm fine," she said softly, "How are you doing?" Of course, Marinna wasn't alright. She was blaming herself. If she never told Jackson about the baby, he wouldn't have been as upset. If she had only been over to his house a little bit earlier, maybe it wouldn't have happened. She kept thinking that she could've prevented it.
All of a sudden, she lost it. Tears flowed from her eyes like a waterfall. "Mel, I could've prevented this. It's all my fault he's gone. I'm so stupid. Now, I'm going to be raising a kid all alone who will never know his father. What am I supposed to do? An-and, I lost my best friend. I think I may have even, I think I may have even been in love with him," she said gasping for breath from all of her crying. It wasn't fair how something could be within your reach one minute and gone the next. Life was cruel that way, and Marinna experienced it first hand.

She knew perfectly well that Marinna wasn't fine but everyone had those times when they just didn't want to show emotion until it was really time or they really needed to just let it all out. "I'm gettin' through, thanks for asking." She whispered the words in order to not start crying again. She knew the second she tried denying her feelings out loud anymore she would burst into tears not knowing what else to do. "Shh...honey it wasn't your fault. It was no ones fault." She took the girl to her shoulder and held her there trying to comfort her a little more. "It will all come together in the end--I promise" Melody knew that nothing would be the same without Jackson, especially in the kids life. It was gonna suck for them to grow up without a dad and poor Marinna would have to live without him for her whole life raising the kid as an only mother. Melody knew that Marinna was taking this harder than she was, yea, she was taking it pretty hard and she had known Jackson her whole life when Marinna hadn't but Marinna was having her kid and Melody wasn't. There was a huge burden on Marinna that Melody herself would never have to feel in her whole life probably.

Vik arrived. he was wearing a black suit. He had on black pants, a white dress shirt, a black overcoat, and a black tie. He was sad from the moment he heard about it, and wanted to arrive. not just because of marinna's emotional support, but he had another reason he would tell Rinna later.
He walked in, slowly. He saw some of the Jackson family, shook thier hands, and gave his respects to him. He didn't have a lot to say, but he could understand... for private, very private, reasons. He then took a seat near the back, and waited to see if any familiar faces arrived.

Melody was still holding Marinna in her arms when she saw Vik arrive, didn't that kid hate Jackson? Even if he did it was nice of him to show up. She said hi to him as he walked by and into the other room. She still wanted to know why he had showed up but she figured it was probably for Marinna and to support her.

He saw Melody pass by him and continued to sit. He then decided to speak up.
"Hi... and I didn't come here for the reason you think I am here," he said, looking up at her.

Melody sat down next to him and looked at him. "Okay...so why did you come then?" She didn't want to sound like she didn't want him there but all she really wanted was an explanation on why he was there. She wasn't going to have fighting at her own brother's funeral. That was half the reason why he was dead she was guessing.

Vik sighed. He knew what she was thinking. she probabaly thought he was here to start shit. He sighed again.
"I am here because I want to pay my respects. before he... well... passed away... I was going to talk to him... and sort of get a peace pact for something," he said. He was also there for Rinna's support, but that was a given.

She looked at him trying to see if he was telling the truth but decided to believe him because he seemed to be telling the truth and she knew that he wasn't the type of guy to start crap at something as respectable as a funeral. "Okay..." She looked down at her feet sighing a little and letting out a loud cough. Her throat was dry from crying so much, she hadn't eaten in a day or two so she was a bit hungry too.

"Your brother was a good man," Vik said. He couldn't believe he was saying this, but he was, and there was no taking it back. "he was a good man... he had some faults... everyone does... but he was a good man," Vik said. He wasn't tearing, or deeply emotional, but he was sad. It's always a shame to see someone good... especially from suicide.

She looked up at him as he talked. "Yea...thanks" It was surprising what a death could do, it was just sad to know that Vik and Jackson hadn't had a chance to make up before this happened. Some people didn't really realize what they were missing until it was gone. Hopefully Vik could comfort Marinna a little more than she had, she knew that Marinna and Vik had a deeper emotion together than Marinna and Melody would probably ever have.

"Must have been pretty hard... I didn't even know him well and I am sad," he said. She must have been very sad. "I know what it's like to lose a sibiling," he said solemnly. "It hurts... and it make syou feel numb... very numb... for a long time. Then after numbessness, it's going to hurt. But after a while, you can accept it, and eventually move on," Vik said. He thought of his brother. It made him more sad.

How did he know how she felt? I guess it was possible for him to have lost a sibling but she had never heard him talk about any other siblings. "You've lost a sibling?" She asked him, he could have just been trying to make her feel better by saying that but why would anyone lie about something like that? It didn't seem possible to her for someone to do that. She couldn't stand talking about all of the numbness and hurt that she would have to go through without tearing up a little more, it was so hard.

"Yea... 8 years ago. My brother..." he said, becoming more depressed. " He died from a drug overdose.... so I know what it's like," he said. Looking at the floor now. He took a heavy sigh then look back up."But don't worry," he said, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Things'll get better."
