Tropical Fun [Jaxon]

[Faerydae Richmond]

Dae had wanted to come to this new cafe she heard about but she didn't want to go alone so she had Jaxon go with her. She liked tropical things and this cafe seemed like the perfect place to go. She wanted to get into the theme more so she tried to dress a little bit girlie by wearing one of her mini skirts with a bright blue tank top and around her neck she wore a hula type necklace. She had a blue pair of rubber flip flops on and her toe nails were painted black, as well as her fingernails. She turned to Jaxon as they walked into the cafe and smiled. "What do you think?"

Jaxon ducked getting out of his truck and glanced around. This is an interesting place. Never really been here before, so should be an interesting experience. He shrugged his leather bomber open as he walked in, exposing the sedate black, white and gray tropical-print shirt that hung out over his faded blues. He grinned and slipped a hand into Fae's, giving it a squeeze. "Well, I think this is a lovely first date. I'm glad we finally got around to getting together again. It's been a bit hectic with me working most nights and classes in the day."

Bringing her hand up, he gave the back of it a kiss and waved to the waiter as they sat down at one of the wicker tables with the high-backed chairs. Each table had one of those reed umbrellas over it with a light hanging down to provide a sense of quiet intimacy. Over the din of the crowd, speakers played Beach Boys and Jaxon grimaced at the garish music before grinning at Fae.

She took his hand willingly and sat down at the wicker table. It was made to seem like you were alone and away from everyone else with an umbrella on the top and she thought it was working really well so far. She smiled at him. "I'm glad too." It was nice since they hadn't seen each other in a little bit, secretly she wished that he didn't have to be so busy all of the time but she knew it would be insane if she ever asked him to quit his job so she found other things to do when she wasn't with him. Sometimes she would leave him surprises in his truck when she knew where he was going to be but didn't want to bug him personally and so far he had seemed to like that.

Not wanting to sit across the large table, he made sure that their chairs were right next to each other so he could just look at her. "See? You look deliciously pretty in that outfit, Fae. An absolute delight." He shrugged his own jacket off onto the chair and stretched briefly, taking her hand again as he pondered a tropical drink knock-off and a sandwich. It's definitely a light-meal kinda place and the atmosphere was perfect. He eyed the small boar spitted across the aisle. It was Luau Night and he'd heard great things about their boar.

He decided mentally without looking at the menu and gazed over at Fae. She seemed to be a bit more confident in herself just sitting there. She was an amazing girl, leaving little notes or art diddles for him on the days they couldn't talk. Just little reminders that she was still thinking of him and he leaned over, impulsively, and gave her a quick kiss.

She laughed with a grin on her face. "Thank you." She watched as Jaxon took his jacket off and laid it on the chair behind him, leaving her sweatshirt on because she was a little chilly. It was really nice and quiet here, the people all around them were talking with the others at there tables in a lowered voice. It was the whole idea of the restaurant to have a quiet dinner. "What are you getting?" She wasn't sure what she wanted to get.

Glancing over at the boar, Jaxon indicated with a slight nod, "A bit of roast pork sandwich, probably with barbeque. It just looks so delicious. I didn't know that they had a Luau Night, tho. Did you?" He felt her fingers, giving them a little bit of a squeeze. His eyes wandered around the room for a moment, taking stock slowly.

"Yea it does look yummy." She looked around, some people were out on the dance floor really getting into the whole dancing thing. She hadn't known that they had had a luau night but it looked fun enough and they definitely needed to have some fun. "Nope, I didn't know that" She smirked and looked over at him giving him a quick kiss on the lips placing her hand on his shoulder.

Grinning, I gaze back at her, with her dusty blonde hair and normal outfit, accented with her usual darker make-up and black polish. "You know what's so amazing about you? You can look yourself even when you're trying something new. It's like you have a personal style that just drips from your being." His eyes focused in on hers, his head tilting slightly to one side.

She giggled. Most people said that about her. "Again I am thanking you. I do that a lot." She was always being complimented by him, but it wasn't a bad thing either. She liked being complimented. She looked into his eyes, they were such a pretty color. His hair was right in his eyes and she lifted her hand brushing it out of his eyes.

Jax's grin shift to the side again as she brushed his hair and he took her wrist, kissing the inside of it, intimiately as he hadn't done since that first night. He let his lips linger, his tongue teasing just a moment before he released them. "That's only fair as I tend to thank the universe quite frequently for meeting you." Ending with a sly wink and a bump of my knee softly into yours.

She smirked. "I don't think I thank the universe for meeting you, but I do thank people." The smirk on her face grew bigger and she felt his knee bump into hers. She leaned her back against the back of the wicker chair and watched as the waiter came over and took there orders, her ordering the same thing that Jaxon had said he was getting along with a cold water. She didn't often drink anything but water and even in her new girlie outfit the water was something she needed.

Jaxon mimiced Fae's lean, his eyes closing for a moment, turning to look at Fae and reaching over, caressing her wrist on her chair slowly. "It just feels so nice, even out here. The music seems to work, corny as it is. I guess that's how I always grew up, though." Thinking back to the days my father would play the old records and he and mom would just dance in the livingroom to the oldies like a couple of teenagers from decades past. It used to make me laugh so uproariously. I'd even learned those dances.

Fae whispered a bit. She didn't care if the other people were listening or not, her voice just naturally became lower for a reason she didn't know. "Yea it does..." Her eyes wandered from the table to his face and looked into his eyes. She could imagine everyone in the restaurant getting up and dancing like you might see in some of the older TV shows.

Jaxon's eyes widened a little, wondering what thoughts seemed to go through Fae's mind as that amused little smile touched her lips. His gazed traced her features again and again in the pale light as he whispered back. "I promise, I won't be so unavailable as I have been until now. I'll make things work with my schedule, you have my word. I didn't mean to neglect you so long." He reached up, caressing her cheek softly.

"I understand. But all that neglecting should be caught up on now." She smiled, her voice at a whisper. She took a deep breath as he caressed her cheek, her hand reached for his and she placed it in his palm. There was something about his eyes that looked so good in the dim light hanging from the ceiling above them.
