"No, sadly I don't have any family here. My mother's in Miami. She retired there a few years ago, I think she was just looking to get away from everything in this part of the country. I lived in North Dakota before I came here, and most of my family still lives there." He said, looking down at his shoes, and then back up at her. "As for friends. I really haven't had the time. Work takes a lot out of me. I do my best to have a personal life, but you know how it is. What about you? Is your family here in the city," he asked looking back at her. She was indeed more interesting every moment he spent talking to her. And that was a featr that not many could pull off with Cade.

She nodded "aahh, I see" she said. "Well, I use to live in Alabama before I came here..." she explained. "I use to ride horses, and stuff, and I would still but I don't have a lot of time to find a new partner" she explained, thinking back to when she use to ride all the time... she missed it. "My family is back in Bama," she explained "and I don't have many friends... I haven't been here too long so I guess that explains itself. I do have one best friend, though, Jared Knight" she said "I've known him since I knew how to walk" she said and giggled. "Other than him I know a few people but don't talk to them much."

She liked to ride horse, he thought to himself. He had never really rode a horse but he could imagine that it would be an experience for a first timer. "Riding. Sounds like it would be fun. I wouldn't mind trying it, although you'd have to promise me you laugh when I fell off. Unless I laugh of course. If I can laugh about it, others should too," he said with a boyish grin. "I know what it's like being some where, almost completely alone, even though you are in fact, surrounded by a million people. That's pretty much life here for me. But I guess I enjoy it in some ways."

She giggled "trust me, I've fallen more times than you can imagine" she said and shrugged. That wa sthe pain that came with riding something with a mind of it's own.... besides a guy. You had to keep it between your legs at all times, and be the boss. It took a lot of strength, and even though she was a smaller girl she was pretty muscular. "Yeah... I'm never really alone" she said softly "I have patients, but I don't consider them as friends really... I don't hang out with them like I do a friend" she explained. She looked to the ground then up to him.

He smiled at Sabrina. He couldn't help but smile. It was something that she seemed to do all the time. It was also very infectious. Just talking to her and seeing her smile made him smile, and that had to be something that made her perfect at her job. He sipped a tad bit of his mocha. "Yea. That's life in the line of helping people. You become, sort of like their best friends, at least that's how they would view you. I mean honestly, if I had a disorder, the person I confided everything in would be my best friend."

She nodded, giggling "yeah... but It's a little scary being best friends with someone who could have a panic attack and jump up and murder you." She shrugged, wrinkling up her nose at the thought. She didn't want to die... one, she was too young... two, who did? She knew she could make people smile easily, and that was one of the things she adored about herself... she wasn't a bitch, that was for sure. Well... unless you actually made her mad, which was definatly the hardest thing in the world to do.

Cade looked to his feet and then back to Sabrina as she began speaking. He liked talking to this girl, and usually he didn't like to talk very much at all. It was something that he had gotten from his father. "I can only imagine. It must be about as bad as being best friends with someone who cuts open dead bodies for a living. Which really isn't that bad at all. Especially since they never seem to fail helping me do what I do," he said with a slight laugh. "I think your job sounds a lot more dangerous than mine does though. I don't face possibly dying a lot."

She smiled and shrugged "well, I guess it's not too bad when you get use to it... I've learned to kick people's asses" she said and giggled. She knew how to defend herself most of the time, unless there was a gun. Then she'd probably just faint. "Yeah, do you ever have normal conversations while you guys were like... cutting someone open?" She asked, titling her head interestedly. She knew she sounded stupid... but hey, she wondered.

He couldn't help but laugh. "Yes, actually we do. We make the normal small talk, you know. How's the wife and kids and such. In my case he usually asks about my mom and my dog, and then we usually move into the subject of rigor mortis and other such things. After all, it's not all fun and games being a homicide detective," he smiled again. "You must get some crazies then. And if your that afraid of a gun, I suggest you carry one. The best way to get over the fear, trust me. If you ever wanna learn I'd be more than happy to teach you how to use it, unless you already know."
