All you crazy people c'mon jump around. Today had been a long, stressful day for the young lady who roamed amiously around the amusement park at the top of the whole thing. She'd been through hell and back with her mom wanting to come visit her already, and her dad quitting his job for retirement. She looked around, taking a deep breath as she looked down at herself. Today she wore a pair of fitted dark colored jeans, a grey long sleeve V neck with a black tank top under it, and a pair of black converse. She sighed as she stretched, poping her back. She had nothing to do... nothing. Well, she was new so she obviously had no friends. Usually she wouldn't be alone at an amusement park, but she would manage to run into someone soon. She smiled at herself as she looked at her nasty nails. Ok, they were nasty... they were just... not painted. They were usually some weird shade, but she didn't mind it for now. As her converse continued to hit the ground she thought about everything. She liked being on her own, it made her feel more grown up. Soon she'd have to get a job though, and that sucked.

For whatever strange reason, Cade had found himself in an amusement park. It was odd, as he had never really been one to come to these types of places. He was definitely not the type of person to ride the rides. He was more of the kind that skulked around and watched all the other people, trying his best to learn their habits. That was just something that Cade did, he watched people.
He sipped a bit more of the green tea he had brought a long with him, and the warmth made him feel better inside. That was something that a hot beverage always did for him. It never failed. Perhaps that's why he had more of an affinity for them; he rarely drank cold items.
He had already circled the park once, and was making his way for another one. He could actually spend the whole day out here, more than likely he wouldn't, he'd go watch people elsewhere. He just seemed to randomly pick locations and be there. It was part of the cop in him, something he had a suspicious feeling came from his father. His traveled all that laid in front of him. He was thinking that a nice funnel cake would be good right about now.

Sabrina was a people watcher also. Not to learn their ways, just to see how they acted. She loved talking to people and helping people. She smiled as she watched a child run around her tired mom asking her to go ride the little car ride things again. She giggled, looking at the ground again. Ok, so this was getting boring now. She glanced around, looking to see if anyone else was alone. She saw one guy and he looked lonely, ok well she didn't pay attention she just walked up to him. "Hey," she said to Cade, a bright and sweet smile on her face. She was always one to smile no matter what, and she loved it too.
The echoes of the screaming people got louder and louder by the day, and they were getting a little annoying. She wanted to ride the rides, but figured she'd look like a dope going by herself. She looked to the ground, then to Cade. She knew it would probably be weird to him that she just walked up to him all excited about nothing at all, but thats how she was.

Kincade was quite surprised indeed when he was approached by Sabrina. She had acted as if they had known each other for a very long time, even though he had no idea who she was. For a moment he just stared at her. It was his first reaction at a moment like this, almost involuntary. But then of course his voluntary senses kicked in, and he realized he didn't want to embarrass her by not saying something back. "Hello, there. And you are?" He paused waiting for her to give a reply. If he was going to be talking to a person, it was always a good idea to at least who the person was.
At least that was a philosophy that he tried to live by and it honestly worked. It was also good for trust issues, even though he didn't have many problems with trust. He didn't, however run his mouth to random people. "I'm Cade, by the way, Kincade Rueling," he said in a very nonchalant tone. "so, what brings you to this place on a day like this, and all alone?"

She stood there awkwardly waiting for his reply, glancing around then back to him. Once he spoke a new smile came to her lips. "I'm Sabrina Lerouse," she said, nodding "nice to meet you." She looked around at everyone who walked past them, just nudging their way by. When she looked back to him she spoke again "I'm not sure," she admitted to him "I didn't have anything to do for the rest of the day... so I decided that I should explore." She bit her lip, and let go "and I'm new, so I have no friends to hang out with really" she said and shrugged. "What about you?" she questioned, tilting her head as she watched him.

"Well, Sabrina Lerouse, I must say it is a pleasure to meet you," he held his hands to together twiddling his thumbs. It was another nervous habit that he had. "Ah. I see, your sort of in the same boat as me. It's my only day off this week, and I thought I'd take advantage of it and roam around the city. I really didn't have anything better to do. So I got my coffee," he said holding up his Starbuck's cup, "and I just started wandering to see what I could get into today. I found this little amusement park. I've never been in this park before. In fact, I haven't been in an amusement park in quite some time. Sorry if I'm babbling a bit," he said with a smile on his face.

She giggled, nodding as she listened. She loved starbucks, but she hadn't been in awhile. "Yeah, I never go to parks like this either" she said, taking a look around "expecially without a friend. She smirked "And It's fine," she said and let a large smile come to her face "I talk a lot too." It was true, she talked like a maniac when you let her. "So where do you work?" she asked, titling her head "I'm a counselor, and I work at American Eagle just to get a little extra pay" she explained and shrugged a bit. She tapped her foot, but stopped herself and took a deep breath.

He reached into his coat pocket and fished out his badge, holding it up to show her, he recited his identity, "Detective Kincade Rueling, City of Drakesville Police Department, Homicide Division. A bit much, huh? But that's me, I really only have this job for three reasons. Number one, the dead need more help than the living, they need justice, and number two, they let me carry a gun. Well, there used to be a third reason, I just can't recall it," he said with a large smile on his face. This girl was rather interesting. Her whole personality, she seemed perfect to be a counselor. "And you? What kind of counseling is that you do by chance?"

She nodded approvingly at his badge. Nice. Actually, pretty sexy. "Ow ow," she said with a smirk and a playful wink. She nodded "if I carried a gun I'd probably shoot someone.." she said, but then looked up like she was thinking "ok, I probably wouldn't... that'd be horrible" she said and giggled. "Every kind," she said and shrugged slightly "I usually work with damaged kids, even though I'm 19... still specified as a 'kid', I won't be for too long now" she explained and smiled "however, I've worked with a few adults... it's pretty sad and crazy, and sometimes a bit scary... but I've been through a lot of emotional problems so It's easy for me to relate" she explained, nodding. "So... do you like, find out who kills who?" she asked "I have no clue what a detective does, obviously." She giggled at herself.

He was excited to see some approval of his work. Some people in the world, for whatever reason, hated the law and those who enforced it. It actually made Cade a little mad to think about it. But then again, Cade didn't like disregard for the law at all. "It's a good thing you don't, I might have to be the one to lock you up and throw away the key." He listened intently as she recounted what her job was. He admired it that someone could do that type of job. "Wow, I'm nineteen as well," he said in response. "Yes I solve murders. Or at least I try to. There's no guarantee that you'll catch your murderer, but in most cases it's someone that the victim knows. If it's not, then it turns into serial killings, which is another ballpark. But yea, I do my best."

She nodded "wow, cool" she said and smirked. She thought it was cool that he had the courage to do anything like that, she'd be afraid she'd screw up and get the wrong person. "Yeah, don't lock me up... I'm a good girl" she said and smiled. "So do you get to... like... poke dead people?" she asked "and look at them and stuff?" she asked again. She thought about her job, then smiled. She loved it so much... helping people was just her thing, and since she was so nice it came easily.

"Yea it's a pretty cool job to have. I mean...I see things that I don't really want to see and sometimes I have to take cases that are harder for me, emotionally, but in the end I know I'm some good for those who need it from me. That makes it all worth while." He had never told anyone that before. Granted he didn't usually make it a habit of talking to people that he didn't know, but he had never said anything like that to anyone, not even his mother. He laughed at her question. "No, I don't get to poke the bodies. I do get to help the medical examiner look at them though. And of course, I'm usually one of the first people to see the body. There are some pretty gruesome ways for people to die." He stood there, staring blankly, thinking of all the terrible things that he had seen.

She kept a bright smile on her face during the whole conversation, just happy to be meeting someone new who had such an interesting job. "Awesome," she said excitedly "I'd be too grossed out to see the bodies.." she admitted and shrugged. She'd probably faint, she wasn't too good with rotting corpses. Not that many people were, but still. "I never see any dead people when I'm working, so I'm good" she said and giggled "sometimes it is pretty gory though, I've seen meth scabs, cut marks, and one guy tried to cut off his hand while I was talk to him... he suceeded" she smiled, thinking about it. The hand thing was nasty, while everything else was ok with her since she knew their pain.

"Oh, see to me that would be so much more gruesome than looking at a dead body. I mean, once their dead, they can't really pop up and inflict shocking damage on themselves before my eyes. The hardest part to get used to is seeing them, after the autopsy. Once you've seen it a few times and gotten used to it, the hard part is over. If more people could do that, we'd have less criminals on the streets." It was completely true. His field needed more than what they had, but most people didn't have the guts to deal with homicide. "On the other hand, once it's solved, everything is so much better. It makes you feel great inside to catch the guy, or girl. I'm sure you feel that way doing your job. Helping people isn't always the easiest but it's by far the most rewarding."

She nodded "yeah, sometimes they just argue with me about everything but you just have to give them time, and be their friend" she explained. She was expecially good at being people's friends. She loved talking, and being nice... and helping. "I wish more people would counsel," she said and sighed "theres a lot of other people who need help." She shook her head "so, anyways..." she said "do you have any family here or good friends?" she asked, tilting her hed as she spoke to him.
