KRISSI RAE DANIELS
If only, if only, he could be mine..<3
Today had started out quite boring, to say the least. Krissi had woken up rather early (well, to her anyways) at 10:30, groggy and not ready to greet the day. But she had managed to pull herself out of bed at around 11, pretty well-rested and ready to greet the day, or at least offer it a polite nod.
She had done all the usual morning stuff; make breakfast, take a shower, and all that jazz before deciding that she needed to do something productive today since she had been a vegetable all week, doing nothing but watching reruns of Law and Order: SVU on USA. Not that it wasn't exciting and all, but you can only see the same episode so many times before it started to lose some of its pizazz. So after checking the DVR and seeing no new recordings of anything worthwhile, she shrugged and pondered over what she could do today.
It seemed like the obvious answer was to go exploring (not exactly exploring any more after living here for over a year, but that was an exciting thing to call it), and she pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and a white v-neck shirt, courtesy of the men's section at Target. It seemed rather chilly today, so she grabbed the first jacket she spotted (a teal hoodie from American Apparel), laced up her black sneakers, and went on her merry way. Well, not before shoving her phone in her back pocket. That was always a necessity.
After stepping outside, Krissi looked around before deciding to head over to the Bridge since she had nothing better to do. She pulled on the hood of her jacket, shoved her hands in her pockets, and began the stroll over. She could have been over there much quicker and ready to do something productive, but noo; Krissi had to be lazy and not put gas in her car.
But oh well. She reached the bridge soon enough and looked around for a few moments. She pursed her lips and thought for a moment. Why even bother coming here? There was hardly anything to do on an old, abandoned bridge.
Except...
"Poohsticks!" she shouted happily, obviously not to anyone in particular. Yes, Poohsticks, the game from A.A. Milne's Winnie-The-Pooh storybooks. You know, where they sat on the bridge and dropped stuff in the water, to see what would show up first?
She looked around and gathered up some branches and pinecones, taking great care to make sure they didn't touch her jacket or shirt in the slightest (just think of how filthy they could get her clothes) and set them in a little pile next to her as she sat down cross-legged on the bridge, grabbing a stick and tossing it into the water below. You know, it wasn't as fun when you weren't racing someone, though.
