Candace started to prepare for the arriving of her boyfriend, Gentier, at 5 PM. He called her the day before, pretending to be his own “people” like they discussed at their picnic not even a day before that. She actually fell asleep to him as he talked about his life. His voice was soothing to her while other’s may find it hard to understand. She promised him a home cooked meal and that’s what he was getting that night. She ended up making her daddy’s special cheesecake that tasted like heaven for desert for them tonight and chocolate covered strawberries for later on in their evening. She put the baked potatoes in the oven before heading up to take a shower. She showered, using her Victoria secret’s body wash and vanilla shampoo, before getting out and going into her room. She slipped on her top and her jeans. She left her feet bare and slipped on her earrings and her necklace that had a sapphire pendant hanging on it. She took her hair down from the towel and blow dried, making it so her hair was in soft curles rather than it’s normal straightness. Candace put on some natural looking make-up and clear lip gloss before she headed downstairs soon, around 6:30, and into the kitchen where her mama and dad sat. She kissed her father’s forehead before going over to the oven. Her father to any person was intimidating. He was strong for his age and had that look in his eyes that were like he was ready to kill but he was actually like a big teddy bear. Her mama was the one to look out for out of both of them. She put the steaks onto this grill like skillet before starting on the Mac n’ cheese as well. She heard the sound of her three dogs, running to the door before hearing it open and close. She peeked out the corner of the kitchen, being greeted by her eldest brother, Marcus. She flashed him a smile before turning back to the stove. Her youngest brothers, were out for the night at a sleepover, and her parents and Marcus were heading back to Georgia to visit relatives that evening. She turned the oven off and took the potatoes out of the oven, putting them on the counter before hopping up onto the counter. Her house had that country feel that welcomed everyone in and made them feel like home. Her kitchen was where everyone always gathered so it was rather large compared to a regular kitchen. She looked at her brother then at her parents and shook her head. She knew why they schedualed for a later flight, to meet her new boyfriend. She looked at the clock in her kitchen, 6:53. Gentier told her that he’d be there by 7 . She hopped off the counter and finished the Mac n’ Cheese. She turned the steaks over before playing with her necklace, getting a little nervous. Not over the fact that Gentier was coming but more of the fact he was meeting part of her family. She had started to care and like Gentier a lot over the past couple of days so she hopped that her family didn’t wreck this for her. She bounced on her heals as she awaited for the knock to come or the door bell to ring. She played with her bangs and looked at her family, who were watching her carefully. They didn’t really care how she dressed as long as her body was covered for the most part and she didn’t look like a hoe. She wore revealing clothes at times but she made sure they looked more classy and elegent than slutty.

"Now you call me when you need to be picked up Gentier." "Gran'ma ah already know dat." Gentier answered his grandma sitting on the passenger side of his grandma's black ranger rover as they drove down the street. He was looking out the window for the house that fit the description she had given him because he didn't really know the streets that well. He could have had a car of his own a long time ago but strangely enough he liked taking the bus. Well, he did when he was catching it with all of his friends. Fights happened on the bus, it was always packed and there was people to talk to. He didn't get the same thing when he had a car. Sure he had the pleasure of knowing he had his own car but at the same time, he didn't care. While here though, he thought a lot about getting one, he didn't have those kinds of friends and he was on the bus alone, unless he was with Candace. In this situation though, he rather have a car, and was going to discuss it with his grandma. But for now, he was on the passenger side of his grandma's ride. "Ok just making sure. When am i going to meet her?" "I dunno gran'ma soon, like next week or su'in soon. Dere it is rite dere." He pointed out the window at the a house on the right and squinted his eyes at the address number while pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket and cross-examining the number written down and the one on the house. " Dis is it rite here. Thank ya fah droppin me awf Gran'ma." He said kissing her cheek and opening the door and stepping out. "Now you behave an be respectful Gentier." "Ok gran'ma ok i got dis" He said with a laugh closing the door. It was freezing outside so he tossed the hood of his coat over his head and made his way up the driveway, looking back as his grandma pulled off. As he got to the door, he took a deep breath to get out his nerves and looked down at the white rose he had in hand before he rang the door bell. She he was a people person but he was a little nervous right now. Not about talking to her parents, he was actually excited about that, he was nervous about the impression he would make on them. It was a make it or break it type thing, either they would like him or they wouldn't but one thing was for sure, he was going to be real with them. It was one thing to be respectful and another to be fake and he wasn't that kind of guy. He planned on being honest and keeping his cool, it would probably go by a lot faster than he thought.

Candace had just turned the heat down on the steaks when the door bell rang. She looked at her brother, who looked straight back with his evil look. She narrowed her eyes at him in a threatening manner before walking towards the door, squeaking as he tried to trip her. She hit his head as she walked past him and finally got to the door, opening it and looking Gentier in the face. She smiled wide at him, happier now that she could see him. Before seeing him, the day was just dragging out slowly and she woke up at 8 so it had been a long day. “ Hey Gentier.” She greeted him as she opened the door fully, letting him inside. She lead him to the coat rack, right near the door and nodded for him to hang up his jacket. She kissed him on the lips softly before pulling back and looking him over with a smile. “ Lookin’ mighty fine like always I see.” She said truthfully and smiled more, knowing he liked to see her dimples which wasn’t a problem since she was normally smiling around him. “ I’ll give you a tour after dinner, is that okay?” She asked as laced their fingers together. She was sure that he’d probably want to get the meeting with her parents over as soon as possible. She led him into the kitchen, passing a wall filled with pictures of her and her sibling’s childhoods. She heard two kitchen chairs move and stepped into the kitchen. Her dark eyes met her mother and brother’s faces first than her father’s. Her brother was tall and had darker skin than Candace had but had similar features like their eyes and dimples. Her mama was mixed of white and Puerto Rican, giving all her and her siblings the lighter skin effect while her dad had dark skin and muscles like Ving Rhames but his personality definitely didn’t match his looks. Her mama would interrogate you while her dad would crack jokes. Her brother on the other hand would stand there until her mama was done and then go in for the attack. She could see Gentier and Marcus butting heads a few times in the future mainly because they had similar personalities in a way. She squeezed Gentier’s hand softly as they entered the kitchen fully. “ Dad, mama, Marcus this is Gentier. Gentier meet my mama, dad and brother Marcus.” She said introducing them with a smile. She watched her dad walk towards them and hold his large hand out to Gentier. She smiled sweetly at her dad. “ I hope you’re treatin’ her right..You better hope you’re treatin’ her right.” Her dad’s deep southern voice filled the room with a serious look on his face before he laughed. “ I’m only playin’ with you .” He said with a small smile and walked back to his seat. Her mama was next to walk over to Gentier. She stared at both of them for a moment before holding her lightly tanned hand out to him. “ Nice to meet ya kid.”She spoke with her southern accent but her’s voice was similar to Candace’s but had a deeper accent. Her brother was suppose to be next but he stood at the kitchen counter, watching Gentier carefully. She rolled her eyes and squeezed the hand she was holding. She smiled at him and nudged her shoulder against his. Marcus was never welcoming with any of her boyfriends but he always let up after seeing them a few times. “ They won’t be here. They’re all going to Atlanta for the weekend to see Myles. Devon and Bryan are out at a sleepover tonight to.” She told him with a smile. She knew her parents trusted her alone with her boyfriend. She and her parents were open about almost everything and as long as they knew what was going on with her, they never tripped over much. (this is weird normally our firsts posts to eachother are like 2 pharagraphs then by the second or third they are like 6 lol lets keep it at three!)

He looked down at his watch for the time and realised it was seven on the dot which made him smile, and the sound of someone coming to the door gave him mixed feelings. It would be awkward if it was her folks, he wouldn't even know what to say besides "hi". But when the door came open and he realised who it was, he flashed her his pearly whites and dropped his hood. "Wassup baby girl. I gotcha a lil su'in." He said handing her the rose. He walked inside and looked around. He liked what he saw, it made him feel all warm and cozy inside. His grandma's place was modern and had expensive shit everywhere. He felt like he walked right into the deep south. It made him feel a little more easy.
He unzipped his coat and hung it up on the rack before he looked down at her with a smile. Her dimples always made him start smiling. "Ya talkin bout me an all dat but u always lookin like a diva." He pulled off his hat before she kissed him and returned the kiss right back to her. "Aaight den dat sounds like a plan tah me." He held on to her hand firmly and followed her lead. As she lead him to the kitchen his eyes scanned over her family but more of his attention went to her dad. The guy looked like a monster; like the ones you thought were lurking in your closet when you were younger. All he had to do to him was pinch him and he'd never mess with him ever again. "Aye everyone." He said before looking up at her dad walk over to him.
Gentier paused for a moment as he spoke to him and only blinked. He looked like a kid looking up at a big bully who wanted his sandwich. When he joked with him though he felt a big sense of relief and took his hand giving it a firm shake. "Well best believe me, i am sir. I'm terrified uv how bad ya can mess me up." He made sure not to cuss. He was too respectful of his elders. He took her mom's hand and flashed her a smile "Nice tah meet ya too ma'am." Gentier was going to fit right on in with them. His accent was the heavy ATL style but the heavy Miami style that was really close to their own. That, and the fact that he had a low baritone that was soothing it seemed, considering it had put her to sleep helped add a little more depth to his accent. He nodded as she spoke to him before looking over at her brother. He knew how brothers were, they didn't trust their little sister's boyfriends. "Ya'ont like me do ya?" He asked him calmly with his eyes on him.

Candace returned his smile as he greeted her with words and took the rose from him with an even brighter smile. “ Aw. Thank ya baby. ”She said leaning up to kiss his cheek once again. She watched him look around and took his hat from him, laughing a little. “ I still got your hat from the other day Gentier. You wanna trade or you just wantin’ your other hat back?” she questioned laughing again and stroking his cheek gently. She knew many people felt at home in her home but to be honest, it took a lot of money to get it to look like back at home but it didn’t take a lot to make it feel like home. Her mama always said that it wasn’t the amount of money or stuff you put in a house to make a home but who lived in it that made a home, furniture just helped. She put his hat onto the table near the entrance. She laughed as he complimented how she dressed and winked at him. “ You know I gotta be lookin’ good for my man. ” She told him, smiling. She nipped at his bottom lip gently when he kissed her back before pulling away from him.
She smiled as he greet everyone and felt bad for him as she watched her dad interact with him. She knew her dad was scary to people on the street or just meeting him but to her and her family, he was truly the nicest guy ever. He had a rough past of jail time and fights but once he met her mama, those days drifted away since he focused most of his time on her. She smiled as her mom skipped her interrogation and moved to stand next to her dad. “I’m likin’ this boy. They remind me of us.” Her mom spoke and laughed as her dad did as well. “ I hope they won’t be too much like us. How old were you when you had Marcus? 16? And she is 16 now. No sex tonight kids. ” Her father said in a fake stern voice. Candace shook her head in embaracement. “ Daddy, ain’t it time for yall to head on out?” She questioned and laughed, squeezing Gentier’s hand again before letting go and walking to the sink. She grabbed a tall, thin glass from the cabnet and filled it with water, putting the rose in it before going back over to Gentier and leaning against him lightly.
Candace stayed quiet as he talked to Marcus and leaned her head against his shoulder, waiting for Marcus to speak. She watched as Marcus stood up straight and head over towards them but stayed his distance from them both. “ Nah, not really. I’m thinkin’ you ain’t ganna keep ya hands to yourself tonight.” He said rudely to him. He knew how guys looked at his little sister and didn’t enjoy it too much. Candace’s eyes darkened a little as Marcus spoke. “Marcus that ain’t your business. He ain’t you and ganna be doin’ every hot girl he sees. ” She said to her brother. No one was used to her speaking bad to her brother. Her brother was like a godly figure to her since birth but he had girl issues and was always fucking the next hot girl. Her dad reached over and smacked Marcus in the back of the head gently. “Let’s go boy. It’s time to catch our plane. Gentier, it was nice to meet you and we hope to be seein’ more of ya. [/b]” Her dad said as he took his wife’s hand and started to head to the door, pushing Marcus along with his other hand.

He grinned as she kissed his cheek. It wasn't much but when he was driving by with his grandma and seen the flower shop he had his grandma stop the car in a hurry to get her one. That was how his gifts worked, if he seen something that made him think of her, he was going to get it and give it to her. Just as he did now. He laughed and scratched the back of his head as she said she still had his hat. "Fo real? On everything, ah was lookin fah dat hat da odda day." The thing with him and hats was that he wasn't the kind of guy that enjoyed doing his hair everyday, and he had a hat to damn near go with everything he owned so he always tossed on a hat after taking a brush to his hair. "Gon' head an keep it gurl, it look betta awn ya den it does awn me."He meant that, and he had enough hats as it was. He didn't mind her keeping it. "No lie in dat." He said with a wink back to her, "An i gotta be lookin good fah my girl." He tugged on her top lip lightly as she nipped at his bottom lip and flashed her a smile. He loved it when she did that.
He smirked and looked at Candace as her mom spoke. That was a plus on his side, even if her brother didn't care for him. The last person he wanted to piss off was her mom, they ultimately called shots in the house hold. She looked like she ran her dad too, even though he was a huge monstrous kind of guy. Besides that though, he wanted to be on good terms with her family. He blinked a couple times as her dad spoke and nodded slowly. He wasn't scared for his life this time around he just had nothing to say. He couldn't say no; he'd just break him in half so he could only nod his head. He laughed though as Candace cut them off. He'd feel almost as embarrassed as she did when she would meet his grandma. He just hoped his uncles and cousin's wouldn't show up.
He could already see his future with her older brother; they were going to be bumping heads every second they were together. They were too much alike; Marcus spoke his mind, and so did he, like now. "I'mma keep it real witcha homie, i wouldn't do nu'in Candace wouldn't want me to do. I ra'spec her and how she feels too much. Dat'ont mean everything tah me brah." He kept quiet from the point where Candace spoke however, his words weren't needed anymore and he had already got his point across about the subject. "It was nice meetin ya'll too Mr. an Mrs. Jernay." He waved and watched as they walked out the door before looking back to Candace, "Well dat ain't no where near what i expected tah go through. Whatcha got cookin ma? It smells good." he smiled at her before looking over at the stove and inspecting it all with his eyes and nose.

Candace smiled at him innocently as it registered in his head that she still had his hat. She pouted when he said he was looking for his hat but then smiled at him wide. “I got a deal. Every time we see each other, you’ll bring a hat and I’ll bring your hat and we’ll trade at the end of our dates. But if I really see one I like I’m keeping it. ”She said with a smile and stuck her tongue out at him playfully again. She kept his hat cause it reminded her of him much like his gift theory but different, she wasn’t going to return it unless she got another right back. She was waiting to steal one of his hoodies as well so she could wear it around when she missed him. That’s just how she worked but he could always steal a piece of her clothes when he wanted but she doubted he’d actually wear it or even fit in it. She let out a softly laugh . “ That’s good baby but you know, I can look even better for ya later. ”She teased him.
As they sat there listening to the embarrassing comments of her parents and her brother’s smart remarks, she shook her head. She reached out and slapped the back of Marcus’s head as he walked out. “Bye mama, bye dad. See ya on Monday.”She called to them as they all walked out. She waited until she heard the door click shut and the sound of their car leave until looking up at Gentier. She flashed him a smile and took his hands, backing up to the counter and pulling him along gently. She hopped up onto it and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well, I made us steak, Mac n’Cheese and baked potatoes for the main course. Then I made us my daddy’s cheesecake, which is amazing and then some chocolate covered strawberries and bananas for later on when we’re chillin. But…after those are through..you can have whatever you want. ”She flirted with him and gave a tiny smirk.
She gently pulled him a little closer to her and started to kiss him slowly but putting enough into the kiss so he could feel how she was feeling about him. She didn’t waste time on the dinner for it to go to waste over her putting all her feelings into the kiss. She slipped her tongue into his mouth gently, softly battling his tongue before pulling back. She bit on his lower lip softly and smiled, not letting for yet until she shifted a few moments later. She flashed him an innocent smile before resting her hands on his chest. She wasn’t shy of being with him but she figured he was probably intimidated by her dad meaning he probably wouldn’t do nothing. She had only had sex with 4 guys total in her life. Tyrone, who was her first, then Kyle, then 2 other boys that she had dated but she knew those relationships would probably be much different then them because unless the other boys, she was sure that Gentier actually returned her feelings.

He didn't have to give her proposition much thought. Letting her keep one of his hats wasn't a big deal; it was just a hat and in most cases he had plenty of hats with the same color scheme. Besides, he'd felt more comfortable giving a hat to her than anyone else in this town. "hmm..." He crossed his arms and rubbed his chin as if thinking about it even though he already had. He flashed her a smile in two seconds flat though, "Aaight deal." He said simply. He licked his lips and raised his eyebrow suavely as she teased him somewhat, "Ah'm lookin fah'ward tah dat shawdy."
He watched as she chunked the deuces to her family just for a moment. His eyes went to the food on the stove because he was starving. He could see the steaks which was on point because one could never go wrong with giving him a t-bone considering it was his favorite thing to eat. He didn't want to look into the other pots and get busted as she walked back in. She'd give him a minor heart attack; he knew how women were when guys were peeking on surprises.
He looked to her as she came back to the kitchen and took her hands smirking, biting his bottom lip with his eyebrow raised. "Gawt da crib all tah ourselves now." He tossed in as if almost being a menace about it. He was a bad boy in every way; the "naughty" way and taken as the fact that he was a juvenile. There was so much she didn't know about him and he planned on telling her most likely tonight. A girl that wanted you to meet her parents was sure about keeping you and though he didn't trust a lot of people he had to trust her; he was with her, and she had to know eventually.
He looked up at her as she sat on the counter, listening carefully to what she had cooked. His grandma was raised by her Cuban mom and so he was either eating out or eating Cuban and Mexican food... all the time. It got old and he loved going to his friend's houses because their folks were always making southern food; grits, ham hocks and pinto beans, jiffy cornbread and greens. He loved it all... except the whole pig's feet, ox tails and chitlins thing... He couldn't eat things he didn't identify. "mmm baby girl dat sounds on point an uh... I gotta few odda thangs tah add tah da menu though we'll save dat fah lata though." He wrapped his arms around her waist and laced his fingers together at the bottom of her back and stepped closer to her as she pulled him to her. He tilted his head up and closed his eyes as he felt her lips against his. He was feeling this girl; everything about her just made him smile. Her dimples, her voice, the way she dressed, her personality; she was justa perfect ten straight across the board and he didn't plan on letting her go easily, even though they had a long way to go in their relationship. He put all of those feelings though into this kiss. Feelings were mutual; he was sure he wanted everything that she wanted out of this relationship. So sex would come whenever she felt comfortable and when she was ready. He had sex with his fair share of women, some he couldn't even remember but it didn't mean anything to him, and wasn't anything to brag about in his eyes. It did however form him into a great kisser which he demonstrated when he duked it out with her tongue and squeezed her back gently. When she pulled back he took the time to catch his breath and let out a chuckle. "If we keep dis up ma, i ain't gon' be hungry fah dinner anymore... I'mma be hungry fah you an all ya hard work's gunna go tah waste. So uh, lets eat." He gave her a sly smirk and moved away from her, over to the oven.

Candace looked at him as he mentioned having the house to themselves. She smiled and kissed his cheek. “ You know it baby. We can do whatever we please except throw a party. That never seemed to work out for me. ”She told him with a flash of a smile. It was true, she was a girl that seemed to obey her parent’s every word but she didn’t. She was still a regular teenager when they were gone and tried to throw a party once but it didn’t end up going over so well. Her dark eyes looked up into Gentier’s and gave a bigger smile. It was true that she was planning on keeping him for as long as she could right now. She trusted him, her family liked him beside Marcus, and he pleased her every time they were around each other. She watched him for his reaction about all the food she cooked. She had tried Chitlins once as a joke at her friend’s house. She wasn’t told what they were before trying them, tried them and ended up gagging. They were actually the intestines of a pig. She began to smile again as he spoke and nodded. She laughed softly as he mentioned he had more to add to the menu later on. She smiled innocently at him and rubbed his shoulders gently. When she kissed him she felt him add into the kiss, making her smile against his lips. She stroked his neck gently as they kissed, trying to battle for dominance over one another’s tongue. She moaned quietly against the kiss before she pulled back and watched him catch his breath with a smile. She laughed as he said if they didn’t stop her hard work would go to waste but after that kiss she really wouldn’t mind. She hopped down from the counter and patted his back. “ Baby go sit down in the dinning room. Just walk through those doors.”she said pointing to the black slider doors, that led straight into the dining room. She took opened the oven door and took the potatoes out of oven, putting them on a plate. The dining room was already set from her mama helping her in that area. She picked up the plate of potatoes, bowl of Mac N’Cheese and headed into the dining room putting them on the table near their plates. She headed back into the kitchen and grabbed the steaks off the grill like skillet as well as the green beans from the stove incase they wanted vegetables. She walked back into the dining room and put the steaks on the table. She grabbed matches from the one of the drawer of their fish tank. She lit the candles that her mom set out before grabbed her biggest dog’s collars and leading them out of the dining room. She fed them real quick before heading back in, with ice and a couple bottles of soda. She flashed Gentier a smile. “ Dinner is served Sir”she said with a fake English accent that sounded pretty weird.

He laughed at the thought of her trying to throw a party. It just seemed like every second she proved to him that she was all but what he first saw. It was a good thing because he wasn't much of a goody goody two shoes himself. It wasn't much of a setback anyways; he only knew enough people in this town to have a little get together not a party. "I could see yo ass trynah get drunk an throw a party." He said with a laugh. He could see her trying to throw a party. She'd get sloppy drunk on something like hypnotic and come up to him like "Babe this my jam!" and they'd walk a little tipsy to the dance floor and as soon as they started dancing she would fall straight to the floor face first and stay there for awhile. The thought made him laugh even harder.
He rubbed the bottom of her back in the midst of the kiss finding himself getting a little turned on by the touch she applied to his neck. She had found one of his sensitive spots unintentionally. he wouldn't tell her that though just yet because that spots did some things to him... When he pulled back from her, he was almost hesitant to let go, thus he brought her bottom lip with him for a second before letting go completely. He looked around like a lost puppy for a second or two as she told him which doors to walk out of before he found the right doors and laughed while looking at her, "Heh, i knew dat... Real shit." He knew he looked like an idiot right now, but he tried to cover it up, you know, be slick about it. He laughed and walked out the door but he stopped short however from the dining room table. He felt naked without his hat, he was used to messing with it out of habit and he was off schedule because he'd be turning his hat to the side right about now. He was hesitant to leave the dining room other than through the kitchen, he didn't want to look like a complete moron, thus he peeked from the dining-room wall and glanced down the hall. It looked like it lead to the door because it didn't have any twists and turns, so he trusted his instincts and lead himself down the hall. When he spotted his hat, he grinned in his own victory and grabbed it off the small table and slid it on his head to the side before walking back down the hall.
He made it back just in time because by the time he sat down she walked out from the kitchen. What she brought was a nice chunk of heaven, and he loved her setup, he felt like a very lucky man right at the moment. Before he could compliment her, she spoke to him and made his eyebrows come up. At first he just blinked but a shake of his head followed very closely after. "Don't do dat again... You sound like um... dat fat lady on dat fuckin laundry detergent commercial.." He laughed and watched to see how she would react. To aid it, he through in a quick comment, "Don't get your knickers in a knot." he tried imitating her, only making himself laugh harder.

Candace watched him as he started laughing and raised an eyebrow. She was used to it. She was a good girl at first glance but she didn’t do everything she was told, she was still a teenager. “Don’t laugh. I can handle myself well and I don’t get drunk ever if that’s what your thinking.”She said biting her bottom lip gently. She had gotten drunk once before and didn’t enjoy it at all the next day. The hangover, the memories, the shouting by her parents and eldest brothers. She’d never go and get drunk again, ever. She could stand to see people drunk but she’d never get drunk herself after everything that happened to include a drunk state.
She pouted softly as the kiss finally fully ended. She smirked a little and watched him try and play it cool like he knew where he was going. “You haven’t gotten a tour yet so you’re excused for not knowin’.”She joked as he walked out into the dining room. She rubbed her neck as she got everything together and brought it to the table. She narrowed her eyes at him playfully as he made fun of her fake English accent. “Boy, go ahead. Keep jokin’ and you ain’t going to hear my other voices later tonight either.”She teased him and flashed him a big smile. She studied him for a moment, trying to replace what was different about him then noticed the hat on his head. She crossed her arms and laughed at him. “What are you doin’ with my hat on your head?”She asked playfully but didn’t go to reach for it. Until she gave him the one she took the last time, it was still his.
Candace put the ice in each of the cups before retreating to the kitchen to put it back in the freezer. She returned and sat down in her seat, which was right next to his. She leaned over and kissed him quickly before pulling back and giving him a quick glance of her dimples as well. She let him sit and started to put the food on each of their plates. She gave him a large spoonful of Mac n’Cheese, a baked potato and the largest stake on the plate. She let him decide if he wanted vegetables or not and put a smaller version of his plate on her own with the green beans. She looked at him once again with a smile and winked at him. “Don’t get used to it baby. I ain’t cookin’ for you every night. ”She said laughing. She was like Betty Crocker, only prettier and younger. She cooked like no other teenage girl would but at the same time her metabolism was fast.

Gentier shrugged his shoulders as she replied to him and just gave her a smirk in return as if he wasn't laughing at her at all. He was innocent.
"Yeah well!..." He started as if he were going to say something. He had no idea what to say so she had won that round. "Yeah..." She was right, he didn't know the house, he was still fresh to it, and a little awkward. You know, how everyone feels, being in a house they're not used to. Sitting on someone else's couch, watching someone else's TV. It wasn't the same and made him feel just a little uncomfortable.
His humor faded with the wind as she threatened him and like an obedient child he sat quietly and crossed his fingers together on the table. "Dat's not fair in anyway, shape or form." He said while looking at her. He laughed and gave a light frown as she claimed HIS hat and put food on their plates. "YOUR hat?" he asked her as if saying "no this is my hat. and let out a chuckle. Until she handed over his maroon Phillies hat, this one was still his.
He smiled and kissed her cheek as she flashed him er dimples once again, his eyes traveling down to his plate within a half second. For a second, his plate looked like fried rice, he really had to start eating at home more. He took his fork an knife off the table and was about ready to say his grace right before she spoke to him again and he looked at her with a smirk. "Why not?" He asked her with a lifted eyebrow. It was funny because the girls that didn't know HOW to cook wanted o cook more but the girls that did always wanted to cook less. How did God explain this one? Wasn't it supposed to be the OTHER way around?
