Full Name:
Rissi Alexandria van Brandt Age:
Nineteen Sexuality:
Straight Stereotype:
Rocker & Bitch Personality:
Rissi, although capable of being charming and personable when she wants to be or when she feels comfortable, is a rather solitary figure. She likes academics and art, and she sort of lives in her own world some of the time, although she's not bizarre like her mother, just quiet and a bit more focused on herself and her life than on the world around her. She feels a little alienated because of this, as well as for her intelligence, her conservative views, and her sexuality. She therefore typically prefers to keep primarily to herself, save for a few trusted friends, and often responds to the world with sarcasm.
Rissi can often be suspicious of other people's motives, perhaps because her own can be complicated at times. It takes a while for her to trust people, but when she does, she puts a lot into the connection. She'll certainly talk to people if they talk to her, but she's not as likely to begin a conversation herself. She shares her personal art with almost no one; her friends can usually get her to do so, but it's not easy. She likes pretty, high-quality things. She isn't very interested in flaunting money -- after all, there are quite a number of other students who can top her in that category -- but she likes having nice things. Aesthetics are important to her. She tends to care a bit about her appearance, but more for her own sake than for others'.
She can be cold, calculatory, competetive, aloof, and insulting. She can also be fun and engaging. It all depends on who she is around and how she views them. She is not exactly the most talkative, but what she does say has value to it. She enjoys drinking on social occasions and has been known to smoke when she is stressed. She is not a virgin, but so far Rissi experience is limited to one person and she considers that one person a mistake, for she feels as if he had used her. She is still up for a hot shag, though. She is still predominantly heterosexual.
Rissi is as sweet as anyone could be, though if you make her peeved she can get rather nasty with you. She's very flirty and gets annoyed at anyone who tries to tell her she's wrong though she may be. Most everyone can get along with her except the 'stuck up kids', she doesn't give them a time of day. She hates them all, even if they've never done anything to her. Rissi is very smart and isn't afraid of showing it off, though when she's in class she gets rather embarrassed when called on. Even if she does know the answer she tries to say it and it gets all mixed up. Out of class though she loves being the center of attention and will do almost anything to get a guy to notice her. Sophie likes talking to people and she tends to talk a lot, though if she feels that she's talking too much she gets quiet and only opens her mouth when she feels the need to say something.
Rissi is a very indapendant person. She likes to take care of herself and not have anyone else tell her what to do or say. She likes to hang with the boys, and get down and dirty. She likes to mess around and play hard, this all results because of her past. She is stronger than she appears. She loves her friends to death, she would do anything for them. Sometimes her mouth gets her in trouble, she tends to be loud and opinionated. But hey, what does it bother her. Appearance:
Rissi is of normal stature, very average indeed. She stands at 5’6” and weighs about 120 lbs. She gets most of her looks from her mother’s family, though she shares her broad features with her Aunt and her father. She has large, dark eyes that tend to give her a ‘deer in headlights’ sort of look when she’s deep in thought, but she is almost never that deer, unless you count the few times she was in shock her third year. Her eyes are outlined by dark lashes and heavy lids, topped with dark eyebrows. Her nose is a bit stubby, or so she says and can be described as short and round. She has a very steep jawline that forms a somewhat triangular chin. Her lips are almost always pinker than other peoples just because of her fair skin and because of her habit of biting them when nervous or in thought. Rissi's mouth is rather small, her teeth basically straight, besides a hardly noticeable gap between her bottom teeth. She is utterly pallid, but has no freckles whatsoever, which surprised her extremely freckle-covered mother.
Rissi's posture is normal, with a slight curve to her back and even steps when walking. She has a rather skinny neck, along with a small shoulder span. She is hardly curvaceous and lacks a womanly figure, though she can often sway her hips when walking, subconsciously of course. Along with her somewhat long, round fingers, she doesn’t have tiny feet, but is glad to say she has an average shoe size of 7. She doesn’t at all mind her average look and in fact cares very little about her appearance.
She doesn’t smile an insane amount, but is always happy to be around those more cheerful and glad she can go to them to have a good laugh, though she can sometimes regret being so subdued around them, as if taking their jokes and good humour, but not returning it. But Rissi is, of course, there for them when needed. A few of her friends may describe her as ‘cute’ though she tries not to be so. She doesn’t think adjectives describing someone should have to do with their appearance, though she can tend to blush when told this, then again, she is far too proud to let people know.
Rissi's thick, brown hair was tamed in her earlier years by being put back in a braid, but when she got to high school, she decided to care even less about her looks and simply leaves it down for the most part, though still puts it back in a braid. She is lucky enough to have nice enough hair to leave it down for the majority of the day, though she would hardly care anyway. Rissi has small, round ears that she has never and probably won’t ever get pierced. She finds no fun in punching holes in her body and filling them with metal, though she often finds herself in love with a pair of nice earrings, only to remind herself she doesn’t need them. Along with being a bit apathetic about her looks, the only thing she is sure to wear cosmetic wise, is perfume, though very little and she is often told she smells a bit like musk, though she is almost certain that can be taken the wrong way. History:
Rissi's birth was a surprise to the van Brandt's. They had not been trying for another child as finances were tight. However, both parents were pleased when the final children turned out to be a girl. For her mother, Rissi was finally someone she could buy dolls for and dress in pretty dresses. For her father, she was someone he could cuddle and treat as a princess. Consequently, Rafi was definitely the least disciplined of the van Brandt children, but not so much that she was a brat. After all, the family was on the poorer side and she knew what it was like to do without the best clothes and toys.
Even as a young child, Rissi always felt like she didn’t quite belong. She was a dreamer while her family was practical. Her parents worked hard to put food on the table and valued practicality above all else. Moreover, her brothers had learned this work ethic and also preached it to their sister. Rissi, however, was constantly given to flights of fancy. She adored television and dreamt often of becoming an actress or singer. She craved the attention and adoration that she lacked in the ‘real world.’ Sure, she got plenty at home, but school and play groups were another story. She was always the quirky one, the one not good at sports, the one picked last. Thus, she retreated into television series as if they were old friends. Her parents despised how much time she spent in front of the set and often mandated that she go outside and find something more productive to do. When Rissi resisted, she was given extra chores as an outlet.
On her thirteenth birthday, Rissi's parents sat down with her and her brothers and explained that some changes where going to be happening. They where leaving Ireland and moving. Well so they made it out to seem. Actually, Rissi's father was the one moving. Her parents where divorcing, it wasn't the best birthday present. But she was told she could pick whatever parent she wanted to live with. She didn't want to leave either parent or her brothers, but the decision had to be made. Rissi and two of her brothers ended up moving to America, with their father, as her other two brothers stayed back in Ireland with their mother.
It torn Rissi apart, but she relized maybe it was for the best. Maybe this place could offer her something that England could not. Her father's new wife homeschooled her and her brothers for the first year, then Rissi finally got to go into the school system for her freshman year. The excitement fill within her and having two older brothers their where even better. Now at the adult age, Rissi is out in the world. Image(s):
