What can people say about Candace? She has an innocent, sweet look but does it match her personality? At times it does. Candace can be one of the sweetest girls you know if you’re on her good side. She isn’t one to turn anyone away when they are in need and she doesn’t judge by looks. You could be the most evil looking person but she’ll still give you a chance. She also gives people second chances unless they hurt her too much. If someone blows the second chance, that’s on them not her. She doesn’t talk about people behind their backs and won’t start a rumor. If she has a problem with someone, she’ll confront them with it or just ignore it if it’s small.
One of the most liked things about Candace is her confidence. She has a high confidence level but not to a point where it’s like she thinks she’s better than someone. She doesn’t let rumors or mean comments get her down like some people would. She was raised to believe if people want to say mean things then they are jealous over something about her. She wears clothes that show off her body but not too much like she is going ha-ha in someone’s face. She cares about what certain people think of her not all people. She does value everyone’s opinion in the end but sometimes certain ones just stick out more to her. She’s not one to be quiet about things she thinks are wrong in her eyes but she knows when to mind her own business and when she doesn’t really have to.
Candace has a temper like most people do but her anger isn’t outrageous. It takes a lot of button pushing to get her angry to the point where she screams at you. She can hold a grudge but only if it’s over something huge like cheating on her or talking about her behind her back. She treats people the way she wants to be treated and when she hears things were said behind her back, it immediately pisses her off enough. She won’t sugar coat something for someone no matter how much their feelings may get hurt. She likes to tell people the truth but she does lie here and there like everyone else does. Honestly, she doesn’t care who you are, where you’re from, what “clique” you’re in or anything. If she can chill with you, have a good time and trust you then you’ll be good in her books.

Candace Renee Jernay was born on September 26th in Savannah, Georgia. Her parents, Jessica and Myles Jernay at the time had 3 other children: Marcus, 8, Adriana, 5 and Myles JR, 3. The Jernay family was a naturally close family, always together and protecting each other. Candace was a happy baby and a daddy’s girl completely. She would cry her eyes out when she could see him, she was told, and when he held her she would be happy as ever. As she grew, she became closer to her brothers as well and would always go almost everywhere with them no matter the age difference. She was never a shy girl and was almost always up running around.
Candace turned 4 years old when her parents had twin boys, Bryan and Devon. Nothing really changed except for the fact that Myles needed to get another job for a while until they felt Jessica would be able to work or when the twins were able to go to a daycare. Candace also started pre-school that year so it was one less child at home all day. She was apparently a smart child and just got smarter as she grew up. The years flew by and Candace was soon in 4th grade. Her oldest brother, Marcus, and her were the closest out of all the children. Even though he was graduated from High School and 19 years old, they hung out often. Adriana was the real trouble-maker out all of the Jernay children. She was often sneaking out and getting into trouble, making Marcus run to save her before their parents found out. She decided to run off one day and at 10 PM, the Jernay house got a call from the hospital. Adriana ended up in a car accident with a 20 year old boy, who was drunk. The boy was alive with just a broken leg while Adriana was pronounced dead at 5:17 Am on December 17th.
The Jernay family took a beating on their spirits for awhile from the lost of their oldest sister and oldest daughter. Candace often was like a light to bring happiness in their life again, which is when she got the nickname Candle because she ended up brightening all their lives again after the lost. She was sad as well but she knew that her sister was watching over her, them all somewhere. Jessica and Myles decided to put out to Drakesville, Texas. They were both working at this time even though they had a well amount of money put away and Marcus, decided not to go to college. He stayed home and looked after all the kids while his parents worked. When Candace turned 14, she became an even bigger hit with the kids in school. She matured early and often went for juniors or seniors instead of boys closer to her own age. She ended up dating one guy only, Kyle Matter, who was 17 at the time when she was 15. She dated him for about a year and then he went of to college, promising to call her everyday and that they could keep their relationship going. The phone calls kept going for about 2 months before they all stopped. She called him once and was greeted to the voice of a girl and his in the background calling her back to his bed. She even at the age of 16 decided that she’d wait for a guy she really liked instead of one she had a groupie crush on.
Candace even being the fourth oldest in the family, was the baby. She only reached 5’3 in height while all her brothers were 6’0 or higher. She was often called baby girl or baby by her family so it stuck with almost everyone she met for being so short and having a baby face.
