Jaxon waited patiently for her to arrive. He'd struck on the idea a week back when they were at a party and flirting during a particuarly beat-worthy song. They'd gotten to do a little club dancing there and he mentioned that he learned actual dance moves from his father, who taught it. Minutes later they'd agreed that he'd teach her. It was one of the few moments he'd actually seen her a little off her game. Maybe it was the booze, but she almost seemed to blush at the mention of learning professional dance from someone.
He straightened his blue jacket and shrugged his shoulders to get it to sit straight as he peered out over the crowd. Ballroom dancing wasn't the night that brought out the dense crowds and the patrons tended to be a bit older, but they still played enough swing to get a good group.

There was no doubt about it, Jolie was alittle excited about tonight. Of course she knew how to dance, but her skills were rather limited so when the idea of getting lessons was introduced she was all for it. Plus Jaxon was just so damn cute and she couldn't help herself, she was just naturally drawn to him.
Walking through the doors, her eyes began to scan the crowd looking for him. Where is he? Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she continued her search. Her brunette locks were worn in loose curls that cascaded around her shoulders. For her attire she had decided on a cute, yet simple, pink dress. Finally She thought, a smile forming on her lips as she spotted him. "I was beginning to think you'd chickened out on me.." She chuckled, walking over to where he sat.
((ugh sorry it isn't that great))

One eyebrow shot up as he finally caught sight of her approaching and he grinned, giving her a once-over with his eyes. She definitely knows how to look good, he contemplated, giving her a mental nod of approval. He watched as she practically glided over to him, a huge smile on her face. He stood up as she approached and his eyes opened slightly as she playfully rebuked him.
"Hey now, young lady. Don't go chiding me simply because you took a few minutes extra to get ready. Though I'm not the type to argue. It's definitely well worth it!" He took her hand and walked away, turning her slightly to get a full effect. "Would you like something to drink or are you ready to set the stage on fire?"

Perhaps it was just her mind playing tricks on her, but she could've swore he just checked her out. Either way her cheeks grew hot as she blushed a a light pink. She found herself thinking the same about him, though she was sure he didn't have to try.
"Well excuse me for not wanting to show up looking like a rag doll." Her eyes rolled playfully as she wrinkled her nose slightly. A laugh escaped from her lips as he turned her to get a good look. "Hmm.. I think I could use a little drink first."

Jax grinned and waved over a passing waiter as they both placed their orders. He just wanted water with a little lemon. Jax took his dancing seriously and knew that he'd be doing a little extra to demonstrate proper dancing poses and such. Taking a deep breath, he glanced over at Jolie again and noticed she was flushed.
"Well, I was thinking we'd start with a simple Waltz to start out with. It's all about maintaining the proper form and lines and makes a great introduction. Most people understand a slow dance, but the Waltz is the elegance that a typical slow dance lacks." He made sure that his eyes kept hers, though he couldn't help but notice how well that dress seemed to excentuate her figure. The girl really knows how to dress for effect!{/i]

Water was perfectly fine for Jolie as well at the moment. Anything else would have to wait til later after they danced. As soon as the waiter brought back their drinks and set them down, Jolie took a small sip, hoping it'd help her cool down since she was still slightly flushed.
"Sounds wonderful! I'm very excited about this, I've always wanted to learn the Waltz." She told him, her smile -and the color in her cheeks- seemed to not want to disappear. "You probably told me this already, but how long have you been dancing?"

Jax took a deep draught of his water, trying to get the cool water into his body to cool him off. Is it getting hot in here? He put the drink away after a second, much smaller sip and grinned. "Oh, geez. It's how my parents met, really. My father's folks taught him everything they knew about dancing and he pursued it, refining his steps. But that was always a side job for him. But, he wooed my mother with it and when they... that is, my father and mother loved to dance and I just seemed to have a natural rhythm and have been dancing since before I can remember. But I think it was in kindergarten that I actually started learning the actual dance techniques." Jaxon bit it off having realised he blabbered on for just a moment.
Taking another sip as if for a means to pause naturally, he took a second to reorganize his thoughts and decided to turn the tables. "I remember you said you've been dancing for some time, but did you ever consider doing it professionally?"

Jolie's lips curved up into a smile as she listened to him talk, keeping her eyes locked directly on him. "That's so very romantic.. your father wooing you mother. It just sounds so very sweet." Her cheeks flushed once again as she realized she was still staring at him. She took another sip of her water hoping he didn't notice.
"Well, I've never really thought about it to tell the truth. It's just always been something to do for enjoyment.." She paused for a moment to think then chuckled. "What a better profession though then one you enjoy."

Jaxon nodded once more in agreement, took a final sip and started to stand. "I absolutely agree. Shall we? The next song is going to be perfect." It seemed weird that he knew whether a song was going to work or not, but he'd already known the DeeJay that ran the work tonight and he knew the man's patterns. Besides, he was anxious to get her out onto the dance floor and into his arms.
With a little flourish, he helped her out onto the dancefloor before mulling out a decent reply as they weaved to a suitable space. "It was. I think they were happiest when they danced together. But even dancing can't save a doomed thing, right?" His hands placed hers properly on his shoulder and elbow, easing her form up proper as the song ended and waited for the next to begin. "Just follow my lead."

An eyebrow arched ever so slightly, it did seem a little weird that he already knew the upcoming song was good. Oh well, she wasn't going to dwell over something so silly. She nodded her head, taking one final sip of her drink.
Jolie grasped ahold of his hand as they moved between the crowd, working their way onto the dance floor. "Oh.. I'm sorry." Her lips puckered into a small pout at his comment. Her head nodded once again as he told her to follow his lead, her eyes locked onto his as they waited for the next song.

A soft, lilting melody started and Jax nodded out the first four beats before starting, stepping out. It's an even, regular cadence as his eyes remain focused on yours, grinning as slowly you join the throng of other dancers doing their own waltzes (or pale immitations there-of). Nodding his approval he glances around as he spins with you. "To be honest, the Waltz isn't my favorite. It's too rigid and formal. But it gives the best start to professional dance."
His eyes focus for a second and a brief frown flashes on his face before he recomposes himself. He must've seen someone he didn't want to see. His attention refocuses on you and his smile returns easily. "Honestly, I like the latin dances. They're close, intimate and very sexy. Not to mention that it really gets the heart beating." He winked playfully and widened his steps.

Her eyes remained directly on his as she followed in his lead. He was right, the song was perfect. "Well it's a beautiful start, to me atleast." A soft smile formed on her lips as she continued to look up in his eyes.
Watching his smile and focus falter momentarily, she wanted to turn in the direction he had look. She didn't though, out of fear she'd loose her concentration. A laugh finds it's way through her lips as he winks at her. "Well, I think I'd like to learn a latin dance with you." She wiggled an eyebrow up and down at him playfully before giggling softly.

He flashes another grin at her compliment as he leads into a dip. With a soft hush, he whispered, "Now, remember. A dip in the Waltz is still all about poise and angles. Keep your form, just bend back slightly as if you were a little off-balance." Jaxon led the dip and his eyes couldn't help but allight on the now more-exposed chest and he grinned, pulling you back up.
"You are a wonderful dancer. That was a perfect execution and your lines are beautiful. Quite a natural." I give you a wink, trying to put out of my mind that little distraction and instead, focusing on the lovely young lady in my arms.

As he whispered, chills found their way down her back throwing her off a bit, but for a moment. She regained her concentration as he led the dip. Jolie did just as he explained, arching her back only slightly.
The corners of her lips curved upward into a smile and she began to blush once more as he complimented her. "Thank you, I'm learning from the best."

Slowly spinning back as the song comes to a close, I step back and make a formal bow, but only so that my eyes end looking at your navel before standing back up. "You were an absolute delight to dance with, Jolie." ending with a soft wink before leading you back to our table.
I hold out your chair and then take my own seat, not waiting for too long before taking another sip of my cool water. "Honestly, you're very excellent. That was one of the best first-times I've seen for anybody on the Waltz. You have a natural grace about you."
