Ashley was sitting on a high stool at the far end of the bistro, a music stand and mike infront of her. She'd been booked to play a few old favourites and maybe throw in a couple of her own songs. She was nearly at the end of her hour set now and was preparing to play her last song, one of her own creations, 'Tied Together with a Smile'. She flipped to the right page of her music and began to play her trusty old guitar. Seems the only one who doesn't see your beauty Is the face in the mirror looking back at you You walk around here thinking you're not pretty But that's not true, cause I know you... She sang, her eyes closed. When she was singing her own song she got dragged in, remembering when and where she wrote them. At that moment she was in Drakesville park just before she broke up with Pat. Lyrics property of Taylor Swift

As soon as Ron was to be out of the hospital he didn't expect his friends to call him almost right away. What he exected even less was to find out that they were using him as a designated driver since his new long series of medication disallowed him from having any alcohol at all. To distract himself of this on his first night back at his buddies all got drunk around him, he desided to enjoy the singer instead at the front. As she finished her song he then lightly clapped for her. He wasn't the same way as he use to be where we'd wail and cheer over a hot chick with a guitar on stage... few things were sexier then that though. He just sat there and enjoyed the show instead.

Ashley sang rest of the song, oblivious to the crowd infront of her. When she'd finished, she stood up, gave a small bow and turned the mike off. Her guitar case was lying a little way off on a table reserved for her things. She walked over and began packing her things away. The crowd had been a good one that night; not talking too loud, clapping politely and even singing along at one point. She hoped she'd get asked to play here again. The money was really good.

Sipping his coke of all lame things to be drinking at the moment, he treated it like it had whiskey or something fun in it, or at least pretended to think that to keep himself a little happier. The crowd here wasn't rowdy, for better or for worse, in the past Ron had always prefered the rock and roll bands that wanted everyone to rock n roll all night and party every day but in this case this girl with the guitar was nice.
As she finished and started to pack up right near his table he desided to comment on her. "You're a good guitar player. Kept the show going with just a guitar and voice, that's pretty impressive." And sexy to, but he could mention that part to her later if he could get any closer to her.

Ashley looked up as she heard someone speak. The guy was sitting at a table not too far away with a few friends. She smiled sweetly as she shut her guitar case. "Why thank you," she said, peeking at him from under her long eyelashes. His compliment had made her cheeks flush pink. She always got embarrased when people told her she was good. She cleared her throat and looked up at him. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."

He had just released a CD himself, anybody that had that should just be partying the night away, expecially with the reaction he was getting so far on the album, quite an odd one, which was exacly what he wanted in the end. Hard to explain, he was an odd guy, what could he say? At the very least he could probibly quit his other job soon with this release.
Smiling as she took the compliments he stopped a bartender from walking by before getting his attention back to the girl. "May I buy you a drink?" He was interested in how this girl got going on her own to neat places like these, at the very least he seemed interested in striking a conversation with her and he certainly wasn't close to drunk like most of the other men in the area.

Ashley smiled at him. "That would be lovely, thanks," she replied. She wasn't sure why this guy was being nice to her. She hoped he wasn't going to make a move on her. She just wasn't in the mood, Not after the disappointment with the record lable earlier.
