"Haha, we'll see," Vik said, regarding his defense comment. He seemed tough, but time would be the ultimate judge.
"Right now we got practices on all school days after school. On the weekends though, you can just drop by and use the equipment and shit if it's out," he said, as he pointed to the sled, some weights, and agility stuff.

Vik had ignored her but she knew from the way that Sadie and Jackson had talked about him before that that was just the way he could be sometimes so she ignored it and walked back underneath the bleachers for a minute grabbing a note one of her friends had left for her then sitting on a bench ripping open the envelope and reading it. It didn't say much, just that one of her "friends" who she wasn't actually friends with anymore had dumped the boy she liked. That was kind of good news but she was pretty much over him so she didn't have very much emotion. She smiled putting the letter on her lap grabbing a pen from her bag writing something on it and putting it back where she had found it.

He had completely zoned, and then realized what's her name... ah yes... Melody, was walking away. Once it clicked he yelled out.
"Hey, Melody, right?" he said, slightly embarrassed.

She turned and looked back at him. Now he remembered her? Wow she thought. "Yea. Whats up?" She turned and stopped she wasn't in a rush and honestly didn't mind having a conversation with someone, it would keep her from going home and drowning in her own misery faster.
