Hunter walked along the sidewalks, obviously twords Starbucks. He loved it, unlike the rest of his family. Now he could finally go without someone bitching at him for going to the 'forsaken' place. He smilled, his blue wrangler ass huggers clinging to him and his blue jacket finished it off. It said 'Livestock Association 07' Bareback Champion' on the back and had a bucking horse on the front. He won it about 2 months ago at a pretty decent rodeo.
He sighed, his spurs hitting the sidewalk as he walked. Once he got into starbucks, he shook the snow off of his jacket and smilled at the girl. "I jus' want coffee, none of that cream shit" he said and chuckled. She handed him a cup, and he payed then walked to sit down. He sighed, leaning back and taking a drink. It sure was good to be free. Well Maddie was here, but they were like best friends anyways.

Marinna was in the middle of a long drive around town. She had almost driven from one side of town to the other. Thoughts flooded through her mind, there was a lot going on. Fighting with Jackson, rhis new bitchy Maddie chick, Chloe's dilemma, helping Cole out with his autistic brother while his parents were gone, her mom NEVER being home and the anniversary of her dad's death coming up. Face it, she had a lot on her mind. Driving through the downtown areas, she spotted the big green and white lighted sign. "Mmmm, Starbucks," she said to herself.
When she reached the "enter" drive, she pulled in and took a parking space. Normally she would be craving a frap, but it was way too cold outside for that. Her wavy, blonde hair was hiding underneath her dark blue beanie. She walked into the door, shaking snow off of her outfit; A navy blue peacoat over a white button-down blouse, black dress pants and a pair of black heels. The door dinged as she walked in to let the employees know there was a customer. "Can I get a Gingerbread Latte," she asked looking up at the specials board. She loved that when it came around to Christmas time. She handed the lady her money as she grabbed the coffee, "Yum!" Looking around, the place was kinda empty. She walked over and took a seat at the table across the way from where a boy was sitting at his own table.

Hunter hadn't been here long, he didn't really want to be here either. Maddie had convinced him to come, because she was lonely or whatever... and one of his buds, Jackson, lived down here anyways. He figured it'd be good fun to come and rodeo around for awhile then maybe head back, maybe just stay. He'd probably stay though. He just sighed, texting his dad and then his sister before taking another sip of his coffee. He yawned, glancing at the girl as she walked in. She sure was a beauty.
He wasn't too shocked when she came to sit infront of him, he just smilled his crooked cowboy smile at her and nodded "howdy," he said. He was definatly redneck, he talked like he hadn't ever taken Language Arts. "What brings you to this neck of Starbucks?" he said in a cocky tone, watching her. He loved blonds, thats for sure.

Marinna looked over at him, staring. She was a little shocked when she heard him speak. 'Remember the last cowboy?' she thought to herself. "Only one in the entire city," she replied as she took another sip, "What about you? I thought cowboys didn't like starbucks. Too fancy for them." She tried not to smile, she didn't want to appear interested in any way. Partially being that she didn't even know him one bit.

He just smirked at her, watching her as he took another sip of his coffee. He shrugged "well, my whole entire family is against it" he said and smilled "I just like their coffee" he added. "So whats your name, beautiful?" he asked, tilting his head "mines Hunter.. Hunter Anderson" he said smoothly with a teasing taint to it. He loved being a stupid jackass... but he was a guy so he was just naturally good at it.

"Listen, buddy," Marinna began as she sat her coffee down on the table, "I have enough on my mind tonight with having you come on to me. I'm just here to drink my coffee and think about a few things." Marinna sighed and turned facing straight forward as she played with the lid of her styrofoam cup. All of a sudden, everything came flowing back into her mind again. It was all too much, and now she had snapped at this guy for no reason. She was losing it..

He raised a brow at her and shrugged "well, sorry, just giving you a compliment" he said and rolled his eyes. "Women are so weird... and emotional, such hand fulls... they snap at you for no reason" he said, and smiled "poor little me" he said. "Either way, I'm Hunter, and if you ever need to talk about anything I'm right here and ready to listen" he said in a sweet tone, watching her carefully. He took another sip of his coffee, stretching and yawning.

She looked over at him, feeling a little bad about it. "Listen, I'm sorry, I just have a lot on my mind," she said as she wrapped her hands around the cup of coffee, "There's a lot going on and I'm just trying to process it all." She gave him a slight smile, "I'm Marinna, by the way."

He just listened and nodded contently, he knew she'd come around. "Yeah, don't worry I gotta lot going on too, your not the only one" he cooed softly "nice to meet you." He took another sip of his coffee, then decided it was cool enough and took an actual drink. "So, is it a guy, school, a friend backstabbing you?" he questioned "I'm not good at all this girl-drama stuff but I have a sister and a mom who bring it to me all the time so I'm getting better" he said and laughed.

"Well, it's a lot of stuff," she said softly, her voice still rough from the other night's events. "I'm not sure you'd be interested in hearing all about my problems." She looked at the floor, then to him, and then took another sip of the gingerbread latte. He seemed genuinely sweet, but Marinna had met people like that before who only wanted one thing. For once, that wasn't what she was looking for, she was just looking for a friend.

He just laughed "yeah I'm not interested, but still" he said. He wasn't going to ask her again if she didn't want to tell him anything, so he just layed low. "So have you been here long?" He asked and tilted his head and took another drink from his coffee, finishing it. He looked at his phone as it vibrated, but ignored it and looked back up to her. When he was down he never wanted someone texting or talking to someone else on their phone, he thought it was just rude and he was a gentleman like that.

"Well, I have this friend who has been kind of a jerk to me lately and then there's this new girl who is like really bitchy and in my business when she doesn't even know me. Then my friend's in a dilemma and she wants my help. Plus, my mom's almost never home anymore and the anniversary of the death of my dad is coming up," she finished taking a deep breath. She looked back over at him, "Yeah, I've lived here since I was six. We moved because of my dad, well, to give my mom a "new beginning"." She grabbed her cup and took another large drink. "How long have you been around?"

He listened, nodding and taking a deep breath. "I see," he said and smilled "ahh, well for the friends, just stick with them they'll realize how cool you really are and come running back" he said and smirked "as for the new girl, just ignore her, she's probably just mis-led. You could try talking to her about it to completely stop the drama" he said and laughed. "Ehh, well I've been here for... about 3 hours?" he said and smirked. Yeah, not that long... but ohwell. He moved his clothes into the house that he shared with Maddie and came here.

"Oh, wow," she said in awe, "You're really new to the town then. I mean, three hours... Here, take my number." She wrote her phone number down on a napkin with a pen from her purse. "Give me a call sometime and I'll show you around town, Kay? By the way, thanks for the advice. I'll use it." She smiled and handed him the napkin from across the aisle.

He smilled and nodded "yeah, I just wandered around for awhile, thats really how I found starbucks" he admitted and chuckled at himself. He smirked and grabbed the napkin, tearing off a piece and writing his number down "alrighty, take mine" he said and slid it twords her. He stuffed the napkin in his pocket, smiling "if you ever need any more advice, just tell me" he cooed.
