"Yea, that'd be nice," he said. He had already walked about 5 miles, and the walk backwould be a lot harder, since the was walking downhill. He was glad she offered.
"Now, I see your point, but how do I talk to him about it?" he said, confused at the complexity of the situation.

Sadie smiled. "ok climb on his back and once he stands up I'll get on" Cas neighed softly and nudged Sadie.
Sadie smirked. "you see, Jackson is very full of himself. I'm not saying become friends with him but you need to get him to where he feels vulnerable." Sadie was liked to scheme and if Vik needed help, she would be right there plotting with him

Vik climbed up and was surprised at how tall Cas was. "Geez! How many hands is he," Vik exclaimed. He then thought about what else Sadie said. "Well, I want to have the uperhand, btu I don't wnat him to know I have it. If I make him feel vulnerable, he'll know it. Any suggestions on how I can get this," he asked.

Sadie smiled as she climed onto Cas's back and gave him a squeeze to make him walk. "he's 16.3, but you dont see any small horses at McClay. Now if you need to hold onto his mane." Sadie brought Cas into a slow jog to see if Vik was ok with it. 'hum well the best thing would make him feel like he is about to loose something he really cares about." Sadie didnt go into any details because there was a couple of things Vik could do and one of them would be in her best intrest to say out of.

"Well I could just get rid of his whisky," Vik said with a laugh. "Then again, thee could be more serious matters... All I want to do is just find a middle ground that we can both agree on. So far, the only things we have common is we live in Drakesviklle, are guys, go to DVHS, and have dated or are dating Marinna. I have no idea what to do," Vik said, looking down. He really didn't

Sadie laughed at the whiskey comment. "well we could black mail him and I may have just the thing. But if we decide to do this, we have to keep it somewhat quite. You are only the second person to know other than Jackson." Sadie took a deep breath and then brought Cas to a halt. She took Vik hand and placed it under her shirt, right near her spine on the lower part of her bck. "feel that? The day I broke up with Jackson last year, he was drunk of his ass. He stabbed me, I know he was trying to paralize me so I could never ride again, but he was short. I was able to get him offa me and knock him out." She let Vik move his hand and continued. "I never told anyone till just a couple days ago, and If anyone found out how he really treats women and how violent he can be, well" Sadie let Cas walk on

"Jesus," he said feeling the scar. "Did you go the the hospital for that," he asked. He always knew jackson had disrespect for women, but this was a new level. This was violence. This was something much worse.

Sadie sighed. "I left that day. I wrapped it up and went to a hospital a few towns over. After they stitched it up, I went back to Connecticut and then to Ireland for a few weeks. I needed to get away from it all." Sadie brought Cas into a canter. "hold on, he has a really big stride." She watched as the trees and the river flew by them.

Vik felt the horse take giant steps. Felt more like a gallop then a canter.
"Well, going to Ireland sure would take your mind off of things here," he said. It really does clear your mind to be far away from a problem. He remembered when he took a trip back to Russia last summer. He didn't think of Drakesville once.

Sadie nodded. "yeah the only company I had other than Grandpop and Grandmum were the bloody chickens." She laughed softly. "a few hundred feet up there a few fallen branches were gonna have to jump. Wanted to make sure you had fair warning." Sadie loved Ireland it was so relaxing but she loved her home country of England more.

Vik hadden ridden on horses before, but never cross country, or with jumps. He held on to the saddle as the approached it.
"So, were the chickens good company," he asked, laughing and effectivly distracting himself from the impending jump.

Sadie smiled. "Vik what in the world are you trying to grab, hold onto his mane" Sadie always rode Cas bareback when they went their spot. "go easy Cas. Vik lean foward a little." Sadie gave Cas a little nudge and he went over one of the branches. She slowed him down to a trot to make sure Vik was ok. "oh yes the very best. you know how chickens are"

Vik grabbed the mane and grabbed hard. Over the jump he went, and he was surprised when he stayed on the horse, unscathed. "Well that was a rush," he kidded.

Sadie laughed. "The only reason you stayed on is beacuse he is a smooth jumper." Sadie brought Cas back into a canter. "So did you ever make things right with Ron?" She asked. Sadie wouldnt of brought it up, but Ron and Vik were her freinds and she hate when her friends fought with eachother

"I dunno," he said still holding on tight, "You'd have to ask him." He really didn't know. He was cool, but it was really in the end Ron's choice.
